Welcome to SHARE
SHARE stands for Spreading Holistic Re-empowering Employability good practice. Despite the recession's shifting attention to people recently made redundant, governments across Europe have started to recognise that people with a mix of barriers to work still have plenty of potential and can move forward with the right support. Governments may focus on getting people off higher levels of social security benefits and thus saving on tax expenditure, but the reality behind achieving that is a holistic, person-centred approach.
With the support of the EU Lifelong Learning Programme's Leonardo da Vinci Partnerships Programme, SHARE has brought together partners from Scotland, Stockholm and Dublin to explore and draw together good practice in achieving that holistic, person-centred approach that empowers people to fulfill their potential and enjoy the health, social and financial benefits of working, or developing themselves towards work.
The project is based on a series of study tours in each country, followed by events in the visiting countries to spread the learning more widely. The website highlights what we are learning and how we are taking that learning forward. We welcome contacts and connections in any country, so please feel free to register as a user and join our learning community!
